Cabin 12411 · Carnival Encounter

Cabin 12411 is a Balcony (category 8D1) on Carnival Encounter, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 12411 is a Balcony on Deck 12 of Carnival Encounter. You are forward of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Of the 147 cabin positions on Deck 12, this is the 57th from forward.

The Balcony grade runs 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 93 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 85 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.
