Terms of Service

Effective date: August 25, 2026. Plain-language terms for using Cruise Ship Wiki. By using the site or creating an account you agree to them.

Who can use the site

Browsing is open to everyone. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use member features.

Accounts

A free account lets you log your cruises, track loyalty and casino offers, contribute photos and video-tour links, message other cruisers through the Muster Station, submit suggested edits, and apply to become an editor. Keep your login details secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate anyone.

Member contributions (photos & video links)

When you upload a photo or link a video, you affirm that you own it or have the right to share it, and you grant Cruise Ship Wiki a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it on the site with credit to you. You keep ownership of your media and can remove it at any time. Don't upload anything that infringes someone else's copyright, contains other people who haven't agreed to appear, or isn't appropriate for a general audience. Contributions are reviewed before they appear and may be declined or removed at our discretion.

Community conduct

The Muster Station and reviews exist so cruisers can help each other. Don't use them to harass, spam, advertise, or share anyone's personal information. Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules; where practical we'll tell you why.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, probe, or overload the site; don't scrape or bulk-download the database; don't use automated tools to create accounts or post content; and don't use the site for anything unlawful. Personal, non-commercial use of the reference content is what the site is for.

Accuracy of information

Ship data, deck plans, port guides, cabin scores, loyalty projections, and pricing insights are compiled and computed from sources we document, and we work hard to keep them right, but ships get refitted, programs change, and errors happen. Cabin scores and projections are informed estimates, not guarantees. Always confirm details that matter (itineraries, cabin features, loyalty benefits, pricing, visas, documents) with the cruise line or your travel agent before booking or traveling. Cruise Ship Wiki is not affiliated with any cruise line.

Content originality

Our written descriptions are original paraphrase synthesised from established facts, with a References/Sources section per ship. We don't copy or quote external text.

Affiliate links, donations & membership

Core content is free. Some outbound links are affiliate links that may earn the site a commission at no cost to you (see our Affiliate Disclosure). Optional donations and paid memberships help cover hosting; perks are supporter-only and never include influence over content. Payments are processed by Stripe; contributions are voluntary and not tax-deductible; monthly memberships can be canceled anytime via the link in any receipt. Donating or holding a membership never grants editing rights. Editor status is earned by application and approval only.

Our content and yours

The site's databases, deck-plan renderings, scores, text, and design are Cruise Ship Wiki's; ship names and cruise-line trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the vessels. Your contributions remain yours, licensed to us as described above. Your private planning data is yours, full stop. See the Privacy Policy for how it's handled and how to delete it.

Ending an account

You can stop using the site at any time and can delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the site or its members at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Cruise Ship Wiki and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site, including decisions made in reliance on ship data, scores, or projections, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. If a change is material we'll update the effective date above and note it on this page; continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.
