Cabin 5472 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 5472 is an Ocean View (category 6B) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 5472 is an Ocean View on Deck 5 of Carnival Celebration, midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. That is about as close to the ship's pivot point as you can get, and in a swell you will feel it less here than anywhere else on board. We score it 9 out of 10 for steadiness, which puts it among the calmest rooms on the ship.

You are practically next door to the lift bank, 2 cabins along. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 81 cabin positions on Deck 5, this is the 72nd from forward. You share Deck 5 with Spa Treatment Rooms, Thermal Suites, Cloud 9 Spa and Salon. There are 285 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

It is booked as an Ocean View. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as steady in a swell as any cabin on the ship and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
