Cabin 5498 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 5498 is an Interior (category 4B) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 5498 is an Interior on Deck 5 of Carnival Celebration. You are midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. That is about as close to the ship's pivot point as you can get, and in a swell you will feel it less here than anywhere else on board. We score it 9 out of 10 for steadiness, which puts it among the calmest rooms on the ship.

You are all but on top of the lift bank, about 2 cabins away. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. Quiet comes out at 8 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 72nd cabin position of 81 along Deck 5. Deck 5 also has Spa Treatment Rooms, Thermal Suites, Cloud 9 Spa and Salon on it. There are 285 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

It is booked as an Interior. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,681 cabins on board and as steady in a swell as any cabin on the ship. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
