Cabin 7249 · Carnival Legend

Cabin 7249 is a Balcony (category 8E1) on Carnival Legend, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 7249 is a Balcony on Deck 7, the Verandah deck, of Carnival Legend, and it sits midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. That is about as close to the ship's pivot point as you can get, and in a swell you will feel it less here than anywhere else on board. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

Pool sits two decks up, roughly 3 cabins along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 8 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Of the 124 cabin positions on Deck 7, this is the 76th from forward. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

The Balcony grade runs 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,067 cabins on board, steadier in a swell than 89 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 87 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.
