Disney Treasure

Disney Treasure entered service on 21 December 2024 as the second Wish class ship, the class known internally as Triton during development. Built by Meyer Werft, she measures 144,256 gross tons, carries roughly 2,500 guests at double occupancy and close to 4,000 with every berth filled, and burns liquefied natural gas. Structurally she is Disney Wish repeated almost exactly. The difference is editorial: where Wish told a fairy tale, Treasure is built around travel and adventure, with a Grand Hall drawing on Agrabah and on Asian and African motifs instead of a storybook atrium.

The venues that justify a second hull are the ones Disney swapped out. Plaza de Coco replaces Wish's Arendelle, staging a Rivera family courtyard with live mariachi between courses, while Worlds of Marvel and 1923 carry over unchanged. Haunted Mansion Parlor takes the slot Hyperspace Lounge occupied on Wish, and reviewers place it alongside Trader Sam's and Oga's Cantina in the first rank of Disney bars. Periscope Pub, a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea room several writers call the ship's hidden gem, the Jungle Cruise detailing of Skipper Society, and Sarabi, judged an improvement on Wish's Luna, complete a lounge programme stronger than its predecessor's.

The criticisms are consistent and largely structural. Cruise Critic rates the ship 4 out of 5, praising entertainment and kids clubs while calling it pricey with plenty of further chances to spend once aboard; published starting fares near 1,462 dollars per person sit well above mainstream lines for a comparable Caribbean week, and reviewers who compare say Royal Caribbean delivers similar hardware for considerably less. The wayfinding complaints levelled at Disney Wish were not fixed here. Fan reviewers who have sailed both report that the counterintuitive layout, elevator congestion, disconnected pool areas and retail in prime real estate are baked into the shared blueprint, and Cruise Critic calls the adult zone something of a crowded maze at capacity. Plaza de Coco's food is widely called the weakest of the three rotational restaurants despite having the best theming.

It suits families with young children who value character access, rotational dining and the strongest kids club provision at sea, plus adults who care about themed bar design. Budget led cruisers, serious foodies and anyone wanting a quiet, easily navigated ship are served far less well. Through 2026 she stays at Port Canaveral on seven night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries calling at Castaway Cay.

**What this means for choosing a cabin.** Of roughly 1,250 staterooms, about 948 carry verandahs and only around 123 are inside cabins, so a balcony is the default rather than an upgrade and the cheapest rooms go early. Most cabins use the split bath: shower, tub and basin in one compartment, a second toilet and basin next door, which matters more to a family of four than square footage. Cruise Critic advises avoiding deck 10 cabins beneath the buffet and deck 6 cabins above the main dining rooms on noise grounds.
