MSC Seascape

MSC Seascape is a cruise ship operated by MSC Cruises, delivered in November 2022 as the second of the two Seaside EVO ships, an enlarged evolution of the Seaside class. Built by Fincantieri at Monfalcone, Italy, she measures about 170,400 gross tons and 339 metres in length, placing her among the largest cruise ships ever constructed in Italy, with roughly 2,270 staterooms across 20 decks.

The Seaside family was designed around what MSC calls a beach condo concept, pushing public life outdoors and down toward the waterline. A broad waterfront promenade rings the ship low on the hull, lined with restaurants and bars; glass-floored catwalks and panoramic lifts on the outside of the superstructure look straight down at the sea; and the aft decks step down in terraces to a pool overlooking the wake.

The EVO stretch added cabins, an expanded aft sun deck and a larger aqua park than the original pair. Onboard are a two-deck main theatre, a long roster of specialty restaurants and bars, an expansive casino, dedicated kids and teen clubs, and the MSC Yacht Club on the forward upper decks with its own restaurant, lounge and private sundeck. Seascape also introduced Robotron, a robotic-arm thrill ride mounted high above the stern.

The ship was named in New York City in December 2022, a ceremony MSC used to underline its growing commitment to the North American market. Sophia Loren again served as godmother.

Seascape has since sailed year-round from Miami on Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries, most of which call at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the line's private island and marine conservation area in the Bahamas.
