Cabin 2399 · Carnival Panorama

Cabin 2399 is a Cove Balcony (category 7C1) on Carnival Panorama, 185 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 44 to 45 square feet.

Cabin 2399 is a Cove Balcony on Deck 2 of Carnival Panorama, aft of midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 9 out of 10 for steadiness, which puts it among the calmest rooms on the ship.

On the ship's plan a stairwell is two decks up, about 9 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 76th cabin position of 118 along Deck 2.

A Cove Balcony gives you 185-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 44-45 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, as steady in a swell as any cabin on the ship and better placed for getting around than 83 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
