Cabin 2475 · Carnival Valor

Cabin 2475 is an Ocean View (category 6B) on Carnival Valor.

Cabin 2475 is an Ocean View on Deck 2, the Main deck, of Carnival Valor, and it sits well aft. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 2 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

On the ship's plan a stairwell is on the deck above, about 8 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 135th cabin position of 138 along Deck 2.

An Ocean View gives you 158-243 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
