Cabin 8650 · Utopia of the Seas

Cabin 8650 is an Ocean View Balcony on Utopia of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 8650 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 8 of Utopia of the Seas, and it sits aft of midship. You will feel a bit more motion than a midship cabin. Nothing dramatic. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

150 Central Park is immediately nearby, about 2 cabins away. Handy, though worth knowing about if you sleep lightly. 150 Central Park, the tasting menu restaurant. Worth knowing: the quietest restaurant on the ship, and the most expensive. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 195 cabin positions on Deck 8, this is the 123rd from forward. You share Deck 8 with 150 Central Park, Izumi, Chops Grille and Park Cafe. There are 324 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

The Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 88 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
