Nothing sits close by: it is 13 cabins to the aft lift bank, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. Utopia of the Seas letters two lift banks on each deck, one forward and one aft, each a glass fronted lobby serving both sides of the ship. The forward bank reaches the theatre and the suite decks, the aft bank the dining rooms, the Boardwalk and the pool deck above. Worth knowing: the cars themselves are quiet. The lobby is not. What a cabin beside a lift bank actually hears is people waiting, talking and calling to each other, and it peaks at dinner sittings and again after the late show.
