Cabin 9703 is a Boardwalk View Balcony on Utopia of the Seas, 182 to 193 square feet plus a private balcony of 47 to 52 square feet.

Cabin 9703 is a Boardwalk View Balcony on Deck 9 of Utopia of the Seas. You are well aft. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

The nearest is Music Hall, and that is 12 cabins away down the corridor. Quiet, at the cost of a few minutes each way. A two deck live music venue on decks 3 and 4, with a raised stage, a bar on each level, a dance floor below and self levelling billiard tables above. Live bands, tribute acts, karaoke and themed nights. Worth knowing: the loudest thing on the low decks. A full PA, drums and bass, plus the crack of billiard balls upstairs, running from about 8pm until well past midnight. The exposed cabins are the deck 3 oceanviews outboard of it. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 2 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 236 cabin positions on Deck 9, this is the 208th from forward. You share Deck 9 with Music Hall. There are 420 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

The Boardwalk View Balcony grade runs 182-193 square feet. The balcony adds another 47-52 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

On loyalty, this is a standard grade, so Crown and Anchor credits its base one cruise point a night. There are exactly two ways to double that: move up to a suite, or sail on your own on a double occupancy fare. Either pays two a night, and doing both pays three. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
